This is how we celebrated the Fourth of July and used up some of my strawberries and rhubarb. They were delicious with whipped cream! Oh, and just so you know, I do own pie pans, but I like making pie in cake pans. Rodney does not like crust. Which I find odd, but I try to accommodate a bit. By using cake pans you get higher filling to crust ratio. I still get my lovely crust and he gets less of it. Win-win!
Yummy! Now, I'm very curious about the inscription... "RR" would have been easy: Ronda & Rodney. But what does "SR" mean? Or is it just part of a longer message? Did you make even more than those two pies?

ReplyDeleteThe "S" is for Strawberry and the "R" is for Rhubarb! Strangely Rodney asked the same question!
What a great idea to make the pies in cake pans, Ronda. They look great! Strawberries and rhubarb are made for each other like peanut butter and chocolate. :) I hope you are having a fun summer!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! And, such a great idea to use cake pans! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your answer and the link, in this way I learn some more spoken English. I had to laugh when I read that Rodney asked the same question...
